Our glossary provides definitions for terms that you may come across in our website. The terms are arranged alphabetically, but you can quickly jump to a specific term by selecting its first letter from the index of the knowledge base glossary below.

The area you log into to view and change the setup for your email account.

The amount of storage space you have in your account to store emails etc.

The section of your email address after the @ symbol. E.g. if your email address was you@yourname.com, your domain would be 'yourname.com'.

Software installed on your computer to read and send emails. Popular email programs include Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Express, Eudora and Netscape Messenger.

The company you use to connect to the internet, e.g. your dial-up or broadband provider.

The first email address that you setup with your email package at the time of ordering. This is the email address where we will contact you regarding your email package and renewals etc.

When you purchased your email package, you chose a password. This is your main email address password, but is also the overall password for your whole email package (called your package security password). You will need this if you wish to setup further email addresses (Email5 and Email20) and for any changes you wish to make to your email package/contact details etc. It is therefore vital that you keep your package security password in a safe place - you can find this information in the confirmation email that we sent to you when you purchased your email package.

Unwanted, unsolicited email. Also sometimes known as 'junk mail'.

A program written to cause mischief or damage to a computer system.

The system where you can send, receive and manage your emails online by logging in through our website. You can use webmail from any computer with internet access.
