The knowledge to know how
Is there a size limit on the emails I can send/receive?
There is a size limit of 50MB per email. We set this limit to help prevent certain types of attack.
If you need to send, or someone needs to send you, an email larger than 50MB, try the following:
- Use a 'zip' facility such as Windows 'Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder' or WinZip to compress the attachments into a zip file. This can significantly reduce the file size.
- If the email contains more than one attachment, send the attachments in separate emails.
- For very large files, upload them to a cloud storage service and send a link instead. See How to send large files by email.
