Manage databases / MySQL

Please note that you must have either a Standard or Pro website hosting package in order to add MySQL databases.

Manage databases / MySQL:
We are currently moving older accounts to our newer system. Most things are identical on both systems but for this task the instructions differ. To determine which instructions to use:
  1. Login to Website Admin. At the top, do you see a 'cPanel' logo?
  2. If you don't see a 'cPanel' logo, you are on our newer system and should click here for instructions.
  3. If you do see a 'cPanel' logo, you are on our older system and should click here for instructions.

Add a database / MySQL user (newer accounts):
  1. Login to Website Admin.
  2. Go to Account Manager > MySQL Management.
  3. Click the 'Create New Database' button.
  4. Enter a database name, username and password.
  5. Click the 'Create Database' button.

Manage your databases / users (newer accounts):
  1. Login to Website Admin.
  2. Go to Account Manager > MySQL Management.
  3. Here you can view and manage your databases / users.

View/edit your databases (newer accounts):
  1. Login to Website Admin.
  2. Go to Account Manager > MySQL Management.
  3. Click the 'Login to PhpMyAdmin' button.
  4. phpMyAdmin is an easy database management system to edit and manage your database tables and records.

Add a database / MySQL user (older accounts):
  1. Login to Website Admin.
  2. Go to Databases > MySQL Database Wizard.
  3. Follow the instructions to create your database and associated database user.
  4. If you prefer you can manually add databases/users in Databases > MySQL Databases instead (see below).

Manage your databases / users (older accounts):
  1. Login to Website Admin.
  2. Go to Databases > MySQL Databases.
  3. Here you can view and manage your databases / users.

View/edit your databases (older accounts):
  1. Login to Website Admin.
  2. Go to Databases > phpMyAdmin.
  3. phpMyAdmin is an easy database management system to edit and manage your database tables and records.
